  • The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, FERPA affords students certain rights with respect to their educational records. They include the right to 1) inspect and review these records; 2) request an amendment to the records; 3) consent to or restrict disclosures of personally identifiable information in the records; and 4) file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Education concerning the University’s alleged failure to comply with FERPA. Copies of the complete policies and procedures for reviewing educational records and requesting an amendment of the records may be obtained from the Registrar’s Office at 800 W Avon Rd, Rochester Hills, MI 48307. RCU’s FERPA Policy Statement is available in the undergraduate catalog.
  • Post-secondary educational institutions that administer FSA programs are subject to the information security requirements established by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for financial institutions. Requirements apply to all customer information in our possession, regardless of whether it pertains to students, parents, or other individuals in which the University has a relationship. Rochester Christian University ensures that all nonpublic personal customer information, obtained by various Rochester Christian University departments whether through paper, electronic, or other forms, is adequately safeguarded, protected, and is not shared with unauthorized individuals.

  • Neighborhood House serves over 3,000 households per year.  In the communities we serve, 25% of families are living paycheck to paycheck or worse. We are the only full-service human services agency in our area and rely on our neighbors, both individuals and organizations, to help make these numbers possible. We are a commYOUnity of neighbors helping neighbors thrive.
• HAVEN
  • As Oakland County’s only comprehensive program for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, HAVEN provides shelter, counseling, advocacy, and educational programming to nearly 30,000 people each year.

Warriors Thrive

Warriors Thrive is an online, 3-week summer seminar for students who have been conditionally admitted to Rochester Christian University. This seminar is designed to help students prepare their minds for the college journey. Through this seminar students will:

• Learn how optimism, grit, and mindset can set you up for success in college and beyond
• Have the opportunity to practice working in a university-level online classroom
• Meet other students who are beginning this journey with you
• Develop connections with faculty and staff members who will be resources to you on your journey
• Build confidence and self-efficacy prior to your first college course

The Rochester Christian University community is committed to fostering a campus environment that is conducive to academic inquiry, a productive campus life and thoughtful study and discourse. The student conduct program within the Center for Student Life is committed to an educational and developmental process that balances the interests of individual students with the interests of the Rochester Christian University community.

A community exists on the basis of shared values and principles. At Rochester Christian University, students are expected to uphold and abide by certain standards of conduct that form the basis of the Student Code of Conduct. These standards are embodied within a set of core values that
include integrity, social justice, respect, community, and responsibility.

Each member of the Rochester Christian University community bears responsibility for their conduct and assumes reasonable responsibility for the behavior of others. When members of the community fail to exemplify these five values by engaging in violation of the policies below, campus conduct proceedings are used to assert and uphold the Student Code of Conduct.
