Micah 6

Mission: Pontiac is a comeback city, writing the story of its recovery. We are doing our part by growing healthy food, making sure neighbors are known, kids are resourced, and services are accessible. Micah 6’s Webster Community Center

Project: RCU will be investing our time and work at and near the Webster Community Center. Webster Elementary School was built in 1920 and shuttered in 2008. Using the existing structure, Micah 6 Community is renovating the building to become a mixed-use community center featuring a collection of local nonprofit organizations, small businesses and community minded organizations – including Rochester Christian University – who, together, seek to build a brighter future for the Pontiac community.

SEM 103: Personal Financial Management: Cash Flow Planning the First 30 Years

This Personal Financial Management workshop is designed with hands-on activities that allow participants to evaluate their financial future. Through interactive data entry and computations, attendees use their own personal financial information to build their financial plan. This allows them to evaluate whether their current financial decisions align with their long-term goals while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Conducted over three weeks in three 2.5-hour interrelated sessions that are built on each other, participants will be guided with practical action steps. A key element of this workshop is a detailed analysis to see where all the household income goes. Participants will be guided to reach their own conclusions regarding changes in spending as they balance their present lifestyle quality with the lifestyle they want in the future. Spouses or partners may attend at no extra cost, making this a valuable investment for long-term financial well-being.

DATES: Three consecutive Tuesdays, Sept. 15, 22 and 29.

TIME: 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.

LOCATION:
UAW 653 Union Hall
