Admissions Process

Students who earn their secondary education outside of the United States must demonstrate their ability to perform college-level work in the U.S.

Submit the admissions application. The application deadline is April 1 for the fall semester and Oct. 1 for the spring semester.
Submit a copy of evaluated transcripts. All international transcripts must be evaluated by an evaluation company that is a member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. Some commonly used evaluation companies are:

International student-athletes are encouraged to have their coursework evaluated by International Credential Evaluations, the official credential evaluation service of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. All evaluated transcripts must include a cumulative GPA. Applicants who have received an education in the United States should send those transcripts to RCU.

Applicants from a country where English is not an official language must submit test documentation of English language proficiency. Rochester Christian will accept:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 72 on the internet-based test. Official results must be mailed directly by TOEFL to RCU.
- Duolingo English Test with a minimum score of 100.
- Michigan English Test with a minimum score of 70.
- International English Language Testing System with a minimum score of 5.5.

Financial Aid for International Students

International students are eligible for institutional scholarships in athletics and academics, as well as other tuition discounts from RCU. Institutional scholarships and tuition discounts are awarded by the admissions department and are based on the applicant’s academic credentials and financial need.
