RCU Pledge: Loan Repayment Assistance Program
We believe in the value of a Rochester Christian University education. We also believe your investment in education should not hold you back from excelling in life after graduation. That’s why we are excited to offer the RCU Pledge: Loan Repayment Assistance Program.
Follow your dreams, both on campus and after graduation, without the burden of debt.
What is the RCU Pledge?
The RCU Pledge offers you assistance in repaying your student (and Parent PLUS) loans after graduation. In order to qualify, you must graduate from Rochester Christian University and work at least 30 hours per week (this includes part-time jobs as well). If you make less than $50,000 a year, you qualify for assistance with repaying your loans until you reach the $50,000 salary threshold.
Your level of reimbursement is determined by your income. If you make less than $25,000 per year, you’ll receive full reimbursement; otherwise, you’re reimbursed on a graduated scale up to $50,000.
Who is eligible for the RCU Pledge?
All incoming freshmen at Rochester Christian University are eligible.
How do I apply?
- You must sign up for the RCU Pledge. You can do so by visiting MyLRAP.org/RCU
- To receive RCU Pledge benefits, students must graduate from Rochester Christian University and be employed at least 30 hours/week.
- RCU Pledge assistance is provided as a quarterly reimbursement after the loan payments are made.
Does the program encourage students to incur more debt?
No. The program is intended to allow students to borrow the amount they deem necessary to pursue the program they feel called to, while also providing them with the security of knowing that their student loan debt will not unduly hinder them after graduation. Rochester Christian University remains committed to keeping the cost of tuition as low as possible. The RCU Pledge: Loan Repayment Assistance Program does not remove responsibility for repaying loans from the graduate, it simply serves as a safety net for graduates as they launch their careers.
What loans are covered?
- Federal
- Private
