Graduates from Rochester Christian University’s School of Nursing achieved a 91% first attempt pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses in 2023.

Dr. John Collins, dean of the School of Nursing, said, “To say we are excited and very pleased is an understatement, as this is an increase from previous years, and far exceeds the 2022 national average of 82%.”

Collins said many incoming students use these rates to determine where they apply for nursing school, so having a high score is a good marker for the program. 

He said the School of Nursing’s goal is for its nursing students to support individuals, families and communities as an advocate while also being able to synthesize knowledge from the liberal arts, applied sciences and current research in the delivery of nursing care.“I want to give a huge shout out to SON Faculty for the outstanding job they are doing,” Collins said. The nursing school faculty include Dr. Remylin Bruder, provost and professor, and assistant professors Amy Guitar, Bethany Musallam and Kristen Munyan.
