Dr. Remylin Bruder, provost, vice president of academic affairs and professor of nursing at Rochester Christian University, will serve on the Region 2 North Healthcare Coalition Education Committee beginning in October 2024.
The Region 2 North Healthcare Coalition is a multi-disciplinary, multi-jurisdictional organization whose goal is to enhance domestic emergency preparedness for the healthcare community.
Region 2 North coordinates with national Hospital Preparedness Programs to create a coordinated healthcare response to disasters in the region. It aims to enhance existing resources and preparedness to address the community’s health and medical needs during emergencies.
Region 2 North is the second most populous region in Michigan. Its three counties – Oakland, Macomb and St. Clair – are home to 2.2 million people, several universities, and a large business and technology sector.

Bruder has been an active registered nurse for over 28 years and she has worked in higher education for over 21 years. At RCU, her primary role is to oversee the development and implementation of education programs and policies to support students in their pursuit of academic achievements. She is active in the Higher Learning Commission and many other educational, healthcare and community organizations.
