FACULTY

Dr. Katelyn Brackney

Assistant Dean of Students
Intercultural & Spiritual Life

Katelyn serves as the Assistant Dean of Students – Intercultural & Spiritual Life here at Rochester Christian University. Her role focuses on providing opportunities for our students to be shaped holistically through spiritual and intercultural programs that help us better understand who God is and who we are individually and communally. She also helps manage our Student Leadership program through which students can apply to hold various roles across campus each school year.

A bit from Katelyn:

In my work with Spiritual Life on campus I partner with our Campus Ministry Student Leaders to provide opportunities for our students to engage in spiritual formation through various events and programs that prompt them to reflect well and form deeper connection with God, self, and others. This is done through spiritual formation practices, worship, Bible studies, service opportunities, and more.

In my work with Intercultural Life I seek to partner with other areas of campus, as well as external community partners, to provide students with opportunities to learn more about different cultures, experiences, and other forms of diversity, as well as form spaces where students feel safe and can find belonging. This is all in partnership with RCU’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.

I love the work I get to do here at RCU. It is one of the greatest joys of my life to see the ways our students learn and grow throughout their time here, and I am honored to play a small part in their RCU experience.
