Program Overview

The Certificate of Biblical Interpretation at RCU prepares you to engage Christian Scripture personally and in service of communities of faith. This seated (no online option), non-credit bearing certificate is for lay leaders, lay Bible class teachers, ministers looking for a refresher, those discerning a potential shift into part-time ministry, or those looking to learn more about the Bible in an academic setting.

  • REL1013 Survey of Biblical Literature

  • BIB 2333 Interpretation of the Old Testament or BIB 2983 Interpretation of the New Testament

  • Choose from any BIB 3000+ Textual Class or MIN 3813 Ministry of the Word
