Graduate Studies: Master of Religious Education in Missional Leadership

Rochester Christian University offers a two-year, cohort-based Master of Religious Education in Missional Leadership (MREML), which trains those called to professional or lay ministry to lead in a new missional era within the setting of her or his own congregation or ministry context. The next cohort begins August 2026.

Graduate Requirements

To qualify for the MREML, students must have a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization approved by the Council for Higher Education. The bachelor’s degree may be in any field, as long as it has been completed and acquired with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Probationary admission may be granted to applicants with a GPA of 2.7-2.99.

Graduate Programs of Sport Leadership & Clinical Psychology Admissions Information

Rochester Christian University is now offering a master’s degree program within the Graduate Programs of Clinical Psychology and Sport Leadership. Please refer to the information below in order to ensure that your application is complete and that all requirements are met so as to ensure that we can process your application as quickly as possible.

Admission Requirements for the MA in Sport Leadership Program

  1. A completed application for graduate admission.
  2. An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university or an equivalent degree from a non-U.S. institution.
  3. Official transcript(s) in English (or translated to English) from all previous university work. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable for application review, but official transcripts are required for admission. Students that have yet to complete a baccalaureate degree, may submit a current (in-progress) transcript now and a final transcript showing degree conferral upon graduation.
  4. A minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required for Unconditional Admission. Conditional Admission status may be granted to an applicant with a cumulative undergraduate grade point average between 2.7 and 2.99 on a 4.0 scale.
  5. Three letters of recommendation in support of the student’s application: Letters are generally from professors at the student’s last degree-granting institution or from supervisors or peers who can attest to the applicant’s ability to complete graduate-level work.
  6. A 500-1000 word personal statement, in which the applicant describes his or her academic background, career goals, and reason for pursuing a master’s degree in Sport Leadership. The admissions committee would like to know as much as possible about each applicant. Personal and professional information or achievements are appropriate to include.
