Audition for RCU Theatre & Music
Join us for a Meet & Greet! Students interested in RCU Theatre & Music are invited to join us Saturday, February 21st for dinner with our staff and faculty, free tickets to the 7:30pm performance of An Inspector Calls, and a talkback after the show with the cast and RCU’s Artistic Director Robert Arbaugh. Register here and reach out to theatre@rcu.edu with any questions!
Schedule an individual audition to join RCU Theatre & Music and qualify for potential scholarships. Scholarships are available for any students who would like to participate in Rochester Christian University theatre and music activities, regardless of major.
All theatre majors require an audition that includes a short interview with TM faculty and staff or an interview that includes going over a portfolio. For admission and scholarship consideration, please see below.
- Music: Present a song of your choosing
- Acting: Present two contrasting monologues
- Musical Theatre: Present one monologue and a musical theatre song
- Technical Theatre/Directing: Present a portfolio/pictures/resume
- Stage and Theatre Management: Present a stage management promptbook/resume
Students are welcome to showcase more than one skill/interest, even if it doesn’t fall into their desired major (i.e. Someone auditioning for the Musical Theatre program could present a lighting design portfolio in addition to their monologue and song).
For more information on joining RCU Theatre & Music as a major or scholarship participant, email theatre@rcu.edu.
