Every year in celebration of March is Reading Month, RCU partners with local schools by bringing RCU’s mascot, Crimson, to classrooms around Metro Detroit. During each visit, Crimson interacts with students and encourages literacy.

This year, Crimson visited three schools:

  • Michigan Math and Science Academy in Madison Heights with Kaysey Kasprik, a 2023 alumnus
  • Stevenson Elementary School in Southfield with Kelly Garrett, a 2006 alumnus and development director of major gifts
  • Auburn Elementary in Auburn Hills with Megan Brown, an RCU preservice teaching student
