Baseball players from Rochester Christian University volunteered at Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers’ annual golf outing in September.

Clare Brinkman, IVC’s outreach and events assistant, said, “The students were very polite and so helpful. We really cannot thank them enough. We are so grateful for this partnership.”

The student-athletes were:

• Trevor Carlton, freshman from Canton
• Nick Heimes, freshman from Harrison Township
• Peyton Rich, freshman from Davison
• Ryder Zeiman, sophomore from Chesterfield

This effort is indicative of how RCU prepares students with the knowledge to lead and the heart to serve others in ways that reflect Christ’s love and make a lasting impact on the world.

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers is a nonprofit that helps older adults and adults with disabilities live independently in Macomb, Oakland and St. Clair Counties.

Scott Kunert, head baseball coach, coordinated the volunteer effort. The baseball players prepared signs, carried golfing equipment and set up various other activities.
