Navigating the FAFSA Delay: How We’re Supporting Students at Rochester Christian University

In the ever-evolving landscape of higher education, navigating financial aid can sometimes feel like sailing uncharted waters. For high school seniors eagerly awaiting their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) results, delays in the process can be anxiety-inducing. We understand the importance of easing this burden for our prospective students. We are committed to the following to help accommodate new students and get you back on track for choosing your next steps.

  1. Early Communication and Transparency: We believe in proactive communication. Our dedicated team of recruiters has already sent out estimated financial aid emails to newly admitted students. These communications not only provide clarity regarding the financial aid process but also offer reassurance to students and their families as they await their official FAFSA results.
  2. Diverse Scholarship Opportunities: We take pride in our commitment to making higher education accessible to all students, regardless of their financial backgrounds. That’s why we offer a wide range of scholarship opportunities, including athletic, academic, and performing arts scholarships. These scholarships recognize and reward students for their achievements, talents, and dedication, empowering them to pursue their educational dreams. 80% of students at RCU receive $10,000 or more in scholarships!
  3. Flexibility in Need-Based Aid: Understanding that many students rely on need-based aid to fund their education, we’re committed to providing support as soon as possible. Once we receive the FAFSA results, we’ll assess each student’s financial need and work to offer additional scholarships and grants accordingly. Our goal is to ensure that financial considerations never stand in the way of a student’s academic success.

At RCU, we’re more than just an institution of higher learning. We’re a community dedicated to supporting and empowering students on their path to discovering their vocation. As the FAFSA delay continues to affect high school seniors across the country, we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing timely assistance and resources.

Whether through early communication, diverse scholarship opportunities, or flexible need-based aid, we’re here to help students navigate the complexities of financial aid with confidence and ease.
