Golf Classic
45th Annual Fletcher-Shinsky Golf Classic!
On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, Rochester Christian University will host the 45th Annual Fletcher-Shinsky Golf Classic, welcoming golfers for a day of community, competition, and support for our mission. Thank you to our friends and supporters of RCU!
This year’s outing will return to Cherry Creek Golf Club, which will provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day of food, fellowship and hitting the fairways.

Schedule for the day:
8 a.m. – Registration
- Check in
- Team mulligans can be purchased (includes 1 mulligan per player (4) for $20)
- Grab a bagel and some coffee at the clubhouse while you look at our silent auction items up for grabs
- Practice your swing on the driving range (tickets found in your golf cart)
- Pre-packed lunches found in your golf cart
9 a.m. – Shotgun start
- Practice putting with Dr. Reggies Wenyika when you get to hole 18
- Drink tickets found in your golf cart for a cold beverage after a tough swing
- Scramble play:
- Each player tees off; the team selects the best shot and all play from that spot. Repeat until the hole is completed.
- Maximum scoring per hole is bogey; If you are hitting for bogey, pick up your ball and move to the next hole
- Mulligans cannot be used on contest holes (3, 7, 9, 12, 15, 16 ,17, 18)
Approximately 2:30 p.m. – Dinner & Awards
- Dinner buffet opens when 25% of golfers have finished
- Awards and silent auction prizes will be announced during the dinner program

About Fletcher-Shinsky Golf Classic
Since 1980, the Fletcher-Shinsky Golf Classic has been one of the institution’s annual fundraisers. The classic is named in honor of Milton Fletcher, the sixth president of the university and longtime Coach Bill Shinsky, professor, coach and athletic director at RCU.
